$250,000 to the State Fair Community College Foundation
State Fair Community College Foundation (Sedalia, Mo.) received a $250,000 gift from Russell and Julie Childers toward the Olen Howard Workforce Innovation Center. The Center will provide expanded lab and classroom spaces for training in welding, precision machining, industrial technology, leadership and supervisory skills and logistics. In addition, it will help increase the college’s capacity to deliver workforce training and strengthen the communities it serves.

$75,000 Gift to Community School of the Arts
Community School of the Arts (Fort Smith, Ark.) received an anonymous gift of $75,000 toward its Inspiring Excellence campaign. CSA’s mission is to develop confident leaders and outstanding citizens through educational and artistic excellence. Funding for Inspiring Excellence will provide a state-of-the art facility with first-of-its-kind arts programs in Arkansas for children and youth.

$75,000 Gift to Music/Arts Institute
Music/Arts Institute (Independence, Mo.) received a $75,000 gift from The Sunderland Foundation to support the organization’s building renovations and updates. Music/Arts Institute is the premier community school of the arts, serving the Kansas City metro and Eastern Jackson County for more than four decades—nurturing and guiding the next generation of performers and patrons of the arts.
