Securing Bright Futures at MNU Crosses $70-million Mark

MidAmerica Nazarene University (Olathe, Kan.) has crossed the $70-million mark toward its $80-million campaign goal. Its Securing Bright Futures campaign will enable the University to enhance campus facilities, support emerging priorities, attract and support students and strengthen MNU’s endowment. The institution’s mission is to be a transformative university that nurtures Christlike community, pursues academic excellence, and cultivates a passion to serve.

$3-million Gift to Starlight

Starlight (Kansas City) received a $3-million gift from The Sunderland Foundation toward the nonprofit’s campaign, Uniquely KC: A campaign to secure a KC landmark for future generations. The campaign will expand programming and arts access and provide an improved guest experience. The $3-million gift will help support Starlight’s capital goals to make transformational improvements to the iconic Kansas City venue.

Fundamental Learning Center Breaks Ground After
Exceeding Its $20-million Campaign Goal

Fundamental Learning Center (Wichita, Kan.) surpassed its campaign goal of $20 million. It needed to raise an additional $5 million due to rising construction costs; and is only $3.5 million away from its new goal. An official groundbreaking for the new Phillips Fundamental Learning Center took place on April 10th. The Fundamental Learning Center is a privately-funded, educational nonprofit serving children with significant reading, writing and spelling difficulties, including those with dyslexia through identification, education and teacher/parent education and training.
