Hope at the Center Campaign Gains Momentum
The Hope Center (Kansas City) provides asset-based programs and opportunities for sustainable growth and development where children, youth and families can flourish on Kansas City’s east side. Its vision – to develop healthy communities where the vulnerable can have hope and flourish – will be advanced by a campaign, Hope at the Center. The campaign will provide the funds necessary for capital investments and five years of operating support toward programs and services. Momentum is building for the campaign as supporters and the community hear more about the life-changing work taking place at The Hope Center.
National WWI Museum and Memorial Utilizes Its Major Gift From the Brad and Libby Bergman Family
The National WWI Museum and Memorial (Kansas City) received a gift of $1 million from Brad and Libby Bergman. The new open study and collections area is named in honor of the Bergman Family. With approximately 4,000-square feet of storage and 190 feet of display cases, this area will allow the Museum and Memorial to showcase objects and artifacts otherwise unavailable to visitors. The Bergman family’s financial support of the Museum and Memorial dates back to 2007. Brad Bergman was a Museum and Memorial Board of Trustee from 2011 to 2020 and has served as the Chair of the Collections Committee for many years.
$1.705-million Challenge Grant to KidsTLC
KidsTLC (Olathe, Kan.) has been awarded a challenge grant in the amount of $1.705 million by the Mabee Foundation Board of Trustees at the Foundation’s January 11th meeting. KidsTLC must raise $3,402,750 in order to meet the challenge and receive the granted funds from the Mabee Foundation. KidsTLC exists to transform the lives of children and families experiencing mental and behavioral health challenges, developmental trauma and autism. The organization continues to adapt and respond to evolving challenges and opportunities, but its vision never waivers – that children, youth and their families will live fulfilled and enriched lives. KidsTLC provides an unparalleled continuum of care to bring hope and healing to young lives and their families through innovative and proven therapies in residential and outpatient programs. Its campaign, Rooted in Hope, will provide support for capital, programs and endowment goals.
