University of Chicago Economics Professor Named to Indiana University's Robert F. Hartsook Visiting Chair

John List, PhD - one of the world's leading experts on experimental economics - has been named the Robert F. Hartsook Visiting Chair in Fundraising at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, Indiana University. John is Chairman of the Department of Economics University of Chicago and Kenneth C. Griffin Distinguished Service Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago. He assumes the Robert F. Hartsook Visiting Chair first held by Dr. Adrian Sargeant, Director of the Hartsook Centre of Sustainable Philanthropy, University of Plymouth, U.K.


The NonProfit Times Power & Influence Top 50 List

Hartsook President and CEO Matt Beem and Senior Executive Vice President Karin Cox were in attendance at this year's event for The NonProfit Times Power & Influence Top 50 List gala held at The National Press Club in Washington, D.C. and sponsored by Hartsook Companies, Inc. Named to the list again this year was John List, the Robert F. Hartsook Visiting Chair in Fundraising.


Greater Los Angeles Area Council Wins Board Training Session

Matt Bear, Director of Support Services, Boy Scouts of America, Greater Los Angeles Area Council (Los Angeles), was the winner at Top Hands of a special Hartsook drawing. The Hartsook Centre for Sustainable Philanthropy, Plymouth University in the United Kingdom is the only institution of its kind dedicated to growing philanthropy by enhancing the quality of the donor experience and developing new research in the field of philanthropic psychology. Hartsook President and CEO Matt Beem serves on the Centre's board of directors. In addition to its applied research, the Centre will establish an international, academic School of Sustainable Philanthropy by 2021.
