Hartsook’s Pre-Campaign Study is an essential component that tests the capacity of your campaign goal. The process helps facilitate a highly successful fundraising initiative, and allows you to develop a broad, research-based plan that not only addresses process and mechanics but, more importantly, focuses on building sustaining relationships that will power your success.

This study involves the following components:

Campaign Readiness Review: During our first days together, we will conduct a readiness review that helps gauge how prepared you are to achieve fundraising success. Hartsook seeks conversations with key staff and administration, and reviews office systems and procedures.

Case Statement Development: Hartsook facilitates the creation of a compelling draft case for support—the vehicle through which you communicate to existing and prospective supporters your fundraising plans and objectives.

Campaign Assessment: Hartsook will interview a select group of people who represent themselves, foundations and/or corporations in order to seek their advice and insight about your campaign. We also distribute a mail and/or online survey to as many constituents as identified to obtain input from all possible sources.

Final Report: Based on the information gathered, Hartsook prepares a plan that includes specific recommendations and a fundraising “blueprint” outlining the key elements of a campaign plan, including goal, timeline, fundraising structure, budget and staffing plan. We present the study’s findings and recommendations to those you deem appropriate.
